Appointed APM Awards 2024 judge across three categories.

Rami Saadi, CEO of Technical Methods Limited, was appointed a judge at the Association for Project Management Awards 2024 across three categories. The ceremony took place on 18 November 2024 in London, marking the awards' twentieth anniversary edition.

The APM Awards are run annually by the Association for Project Management, the chartered body for the profession in the United Kingdom. The 2024 edition recognised individuals, teams, and organisations across the project, programme, and portfolio management discipline. Judging is structured around a panel of senior practitioners drawn from across the profession.

The categories judged

Three categories were assigned to the panel that included the CEO:

  • Education and Research of the Year 2024.
  • Programme of the Year 2024.
  • Public Sector Organisation of the Year 2024.

Each category followed the same review structure: shortlist evaluation, panel deliberation, and recommendation to the awards committee. The panel work was completed in the months preceding the November ceremony.

From the ceremony evening

The November 2024 ceremony brought the cycle to a close in London. Across the categories, the recognised work spanned major programmes, public sector delivery, and education and research, the work that sets the published standard for the discipline.

The shortlists held a higher bar than the previous cycle, the trend the profession needs. The Association for Project Management ran the cycle to a tight standard from judging through to ceremony. The evening served its function: it placed the standard, and the people behind the standard, in front of the room.

Why this appointment matters to the firm

The appointment reflects the wider recognition that sits behind the operator-partner model. Project, programme, and portfolio discipline is the operating spine of the platform. The firm holds Chartered Project Professional standing (ChPP) and Fellowship of the APM (FAPM) at CEO level, alongside Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Chartered Manager (CMgr) credentials. The judging appointment is the profession's external check on that record.

The work judged across the three categories represented some of the most consequential project and programme outputs in the United Kingdom that year, public sector, academic, and major programme. Sitting on the panel is, in our reading, the most useful kind of recognition: it requires the judge to read the discipline at scale and to call it against the published standards.
